This privacy policy explains how the Sudoku mobile app collects, uses, and protects your personal data.

1. Data We Collect

The app collects the following data:

• Username: The nickname you choose to appear on the leaderboard.
• Device ID: An anonymous identifier used to link your account to your device. Contains no personal information.
• Game scores: The times of the puzzles you solve are saved to our server to be shown on the online leaderboard.
• Usage analytics: Anonymous event data (e.g. screen views, puzzle start/completion) to understand app usage. Contains no personal identifying information.
• Session recordings and heatmaps: Anonymized screen interaction data (taps, scrolls) via Microsoft Clarity, used to improve app usability. Text you enter is masked by default.
• Advertising ID (IDFA) and ad interaction data: Only if you grant "Tracking" permission, shared with Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and Adjust to measure ad campaign performance. You can turn this off anytime via iOS Settings > Privacy > Tracking.
• Subscription status: If you purchase a Premium subscription, your purchase and subscription status (active/expired, product purchased) is processed by Apple and shared with our subscription management provider, RevenueCat, to verify your entitlement. We never receive or store your payment card details — these are handled entirely by Apple.
• Feedback messages: If you submit feedback through the in-app feedback form, we store your message along with your device ID, app version, and platform to help us respond and improve the app.

Game progress (streaks, badges, hint balance) is stored only locally on your device and is never sent to our servers.

2. Data We Do Not Collect

• Name, surname, email address, or phone number
• Location data
• Camera, microphone, or contacts
• Credit card, bank account, or other payment details (handled entirely by Apple)

3. How We Use Your Data

Collected data is used only for the following purposes:

• Creating and displaying the global leaderboard
• Recognizing your device so you can sign in with the same username
• Verifying and managing your Premium subscription status

Your data is never sold. Analytics data is used to improve the app experience; if you grant tracking permission, your advertising identifier is shared with Meta and Adjust to measure ad campaign effectiveness and personalize the ads shown to you.

4. Data Security

Your data is transmitted and stored over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) on Google Cloud infrastructure. The device identifier is kept in your device’s secure storage.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

To request deletion of your account and score data, contact us at the email address below. Your request will be processed within 30 days.

6. Children’s Privacy

The app is intended for users aged 4 and up. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

7. Third-Party Services

The app uses the following third-party services:

• Google Cloud Platform: API and database infrastructure. Privacy policy

• RevenueCat: Manages and verifies in-app subscription purchases. Privacy policy
• Apple (App Store): Processes all subscription payment transactions directly; we never see your payment details. Privacy policy

8. Policy Changes

This policy may be updated from time to time. Significant changes will be published on this page.
